La Valade welcomes you within a private domain of more than 5 hectares, in the beautiful Charente countryside.
The decoration gives pride of place to old Citroëns and you will enjoy the 'Art de vivre à la Française' atmosphere of the Trente Glorieuses. Non-Citrophiles are of course also welcome.
La Valade offers 5 guest rooms. Three of them have king size beds. Each has a mini bar, for your comfort. One of the bedrooms has a private bathroom.
A vast collection of books, DVD's and board games is at your disposal.
Domaine La Valade is located in 16360 Bors-de-Baignes, a town of 115 inhabitants in South Charente.
The Domaine is surrounded by 120 hectares of nature, ideal for walking, cycling or running. The place is perfect for unwinding.
A petanque court (4x15m) at your disposal, a "Poolhouse" with lounge, bar, sauna and bathroom next to the swimming pool, as well as an outdoor kitchen with a multipurpose room.
All modern comforts are offered and traditional cuisine will be served.
Only 4 km from Domaine La Valade is the very charming Bourg de Chevanceaux with its "Avenue de Paris" (1000 inhabitants) where all the amenities are present (bakery, butcher, supermarket, pharmacy, dentist, nursing home, Bar- Tobacco, etc.)
15 km away is Barbezieux (5,000 inhabitants), 40 km Cognac (20,000 inhabitants) and Angoulême (40,000 inhabitants) and 70 km Bordeaux (listed as UNESCO World Heritage).
Other escapades are possible: for example Aubeterre Sur Dronne (classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France), Saint-Emilion, Blaye, Île d'Oléron, La Rochelle or Fort Boyard.
